　　很高興應(yīng)奧巴馬總統(tǒng)邀請(qǐng)，在一元復(fù)始的時(shí)節(jié)來到華盛頓，對(duì)美國進(jìn)行國事訪問。此時(shí)此刻，我謹(jǐn)代表13億中國人民，向美國人民致以誠摯的問候和良好的祝愿！

　　PRESIDENT HU: Mr. President, Mrs. Obama, ladies and gentlemen, dear friends, it gives me great pleasure to come to Washington and pay a state visitto the United States at the beginning of the new year, at the invitation of President Obama. At this point in time, let me extend, on behalf of the 1.3 billion Chinese people, sincere greetings and best wishes to the people of the United States.

　　我這次訪問美國，是為增進(jìn)互信、加強(qiáng)友誼、深化合作、推動(dòng)21世紀(jì)積極合作全面的中美關(guān)系繼續(xù)向前發(fā)展而來。

　　I have come to the United States to increase mutual trust, enhance friendship, deepen cooperation, and push forward the positive, cooperative, and comprehensive China-U.S. relationship for the 21st century.

　　中美建交32年來，兩國關(guān)系已經(jīng)成長為具有戰(zhàn)略意義和全球影響的雙邊關(guān)系。奧巴馬總統(tǒng)就職以來，在雙方共同努力下，兩國各領(lǐng)域合作成果豐碩，中美關(guān)系得到新的發(fā)展，為兩國人民帶來了實(shí)實(shí)在在的利益，為世界和平與發(fā)展作出了重要貢獻(xiàn)。

　　Over the past 32 years, since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the China-U.S. relationship has grown into one with strategic significance and global influence. Since President Obama took office, with concerted efforts of the two sides, our cooperation in various fields has produced fruitful results and our relations have achieved new progress. This has brought real benefits to our two peoples, and contributed greatly to world peace and development.

　　在21世紀(jì)第二個(gè)十年開始之際，中美兩國人民都期待中美關(guān)系發(fā)展得更好，各國人民都期待世界發(fā)展得更好。面對(duì)新形勢(shì)新挑戰(zhàn)，中美兩國擁有廣泛的共同利益，肩負(fù)著重要的共同責(zé)任。我們應(yīng)該登高望遠(yuǎn)、求同存異，共同推動(dòng)中美關(guān)系長期健康穩(wěn)定發(fā)展。我希望通過這次訪問，推進(jìn)積極合作全面的中美關(guān)系，開啟兩國伙伴合作新篇章。

　　As we enter the second decade of the 21st century, the people of both China and the United States want to see further progress in our relations and people around the globe want to see greater prosperity in the world. Under the new circumstances, and in the face of new challenges, China and the United States share broad common interests and important common responsibilities.

　　We should adopt a long-term perspective, seek common ground while resolving differences, and work together to achieve sustained, sound, and steady development of our relations. I hope that through this visit, our two countries will advance the positive, cooperative, and comprehensive relationship, and open a new chapter in our cooperation as partners.

　　中美伙伴合作應(yīng)該基于相互尊重。我們生活在一個(gè)越來越豐富多彩的世界之中。中美兩國要尊重彼此對(duì)發(fā)展道路的選擇，尊重對(duì)方核心利益，通過溝通加深了解，通過對(duì)話增進(jìn)互信，通過交流擴(kuò)大共識(shí)。

　　Our cooperation as partners should be based on mutual respect. We live in an increasingly diverse and colorful world. China and the United States should respect each others choice of development path and each others core interests. We should deepen mutual understanding through communication, increase mutual trust through dialogue, and expand common ground through exchanges.

　　中美伙伴合作應(yīng)該基于互利共贏。中國的前途命運(yùn)日益緊密地同世界的前途命運(yùn)聯(lián)系在一起，中美交往更加緊密，交流互鑒應(yīng)該成為我們的共同選擇，合作共贏應(yīng)該成為我們的相處之道。

　　Our cooperation as partners should be based on mutual benefit. Chinas future and destiny are increasingly tied to those of the world and China-U.S. relations have become closer. Our two countries should seek to learn from each other through exchanges and achieve win-win progress through cooperation. This is the right approach for us to develop our relations.

　　中美伙伴合作應(yīng)該基于共迎挑戰(zhàn)。中美兩國應(yīng)該就國際事務(wù)加強(qiáng)溝通和協(xié)調(diào)，合作應(yīng)對(duì)各種全球性挑戰(zhàn)，為世界和平與發(fā)展作出更大貢獻(xiàn)。

　　Our cooperation as partners should be based on joint efforts to meet challenges. China and the United States should step up communication and coordination in international affairs, work together to counter the global challenges, and make a greater contribution to world peace and development.

　　中美伙伴合作應(yīng)該基于人民廣泛參與。中美兩國人民相互懷有深厚的友好感情，曾經(jīng)在決定人類前途命運(yùn)的重大歷史關(guān)頭并肩戰(zhàn)斗。兩國人民應(yīng)該擴(kuò)大交往、加強(qiáng)友誼，為中美關(guān)系發(fā)展提供不竭動(dòng)力。

　　Our cooperation as partners should be based on the extensive involvement of the people. The Chinese and American people cherish deep friendship towards each other, and they fought side by side at defining moments in history when the future and the destiny of mankind were at stake. The two peoples should extend exchanges and enhance friendship. This will offer a inexhaustible driving force for the growth of our relations.
