品嘗 taste 的用法
有兩個含有 taste 的句子：（ 1 ） They taste a little like our pies. （ 2 ） May I have a taste？ ，這兩句中 taste 的用法是有區別的，請看：
［一號檔案］ taste 作動詞時，有兩種情況：（ 1 ） taste 后可跟名詞或代詞，意為嘗、品嘗某物。如：
Tom smelled the mooncake and then tasted it again.
湯姆聞了聞月餅之后，又嘗了一口。
（ 2 ） taste 后可跟形容詞，意為有味道，此時它是系動詞。如：
The mooncakes with nuts taste more delicious than those with sugar.
有堅果的月餅比有糖的月餅更好吃。

taste 可作名詞，意為味道、品嘗。如：
Please have a taste of this cheese.
請嘗嘗這乳酪。
Sugar has a sweet taste.
糖有甜味。
由此可知前面（ 1 ）句中的 taste 是系動詞，（ 2 ）句中的 taste 是名詞。

taste 作系動詞時，與形容詞構成系表結構，常用于一般現在時和一般過去時中，而不能用于進行時態中。如：
Good medicine taste bitter to the mouth.
良藥苦口。（不說 Good medicine is tasting bitter to the mouth. ）
［四號檔案］
smell （聞）與 taste 一樣，都可以既作動詞，又作名詞。作動詞時既可接名詞 / 代詞，又可后接形容詞。如：
He smelled the milk and said it smelled bad. It had a bad smell.
他聞了聞牛奶，說牛奶壞了，有異味了。
［特別檔案］
tasteless （無味的）； tasteless food （無味的食物）； taster （嘗味者、試味員）； tasty （ adj. 美味的、可口的）。如：
That is a tasty meal.
那是美味可口的一餐。
