　　1. dare基本用法特點(diǎn)

　　dare可用實(shí)意動(dòng)詞和情態(tài)動(dòng)詞，用作情態(tài)動(dòng)詞時(shí)，意思是敢，其后接動(dòng)詞原形，通常只用于否定句或疑問(wèn)句以及if或whether之后，一般不用于肯定句。如：

　　Dare you tell her the truth? 你敢告訴她事實(shí)真相嗎?

　　I dont know whether he dare try. 我不知他是否敢試一試。

　　I darent ask her for a rise. 我不敢要求她加薪。

　　【注】I dare say 是習(xí)慣說(shuō)法(用于肯定句)，并不一定要譯為我敢說(shuō)，它所表示的是一種不肯定的語(yǔ)氣，常譯為很可能、大概、我想等，有時(shí)用作反語(yǔ)。如：

　　I dare say (that) you are right. 我想你是對(duì)的。

　　Oh, you mean to win? I dare say you will. 啊，你想打贏? 我且看你贏吧。

　　(2) dare用作實(shí)意動(dòng)詞時(shí)意為敢于，可以有各種詞形變化，可用于各類句型(肯定句、否定句、疑問(wèn)句及各類從句等)，其后多接帶 to 的不定式，有時(shí) to 也可省去(尤其是在否定句或疑問(wèn)句)，可用于非謂語(yǔ)形式，完成時(shí)態(tài)等。如：

　　We must dare to think, speak and act. 我們必須敢想、敢說(shuō)、敢做。

　　I wonder how he dares (to) say such things. 我納悶他怎么竟敢說(shuō)出這樣的話來(lái)。

　　Did he dare (to) tell her? 他敢告訴她嗎?

　　We dont dare (to) say anything. 我們什么也不敢說(shuō)。

　　The boy stood before the teacher, not daring to look up. 這個(gè)小男孩站在老師面前不敢抬頭。

　　Ive never dared (to) ask her. 我從來(lái)不敢問(wèn)她。

　　2. dare的過(guò)去式問(wèn)題

　　情態(tài)動(dòng)詞dare可以有過(guò)去式dared，但也可以直接用dare表示過(guò)去式，或后接動(dòng)詞完成式。如：

　　That was why he dared do so. 那就是他為什么敢這樣做的原因。

　　Mother dare(d) not tell father shed given away his old jacket. 母親不敢告訴父親她把他的舊上衣送人了。

　　I didnt like their new house though I darent have said so. 我不喜歡他們的新房子，雖然我沒敢這樣說(shuō)過(guò)。

　　I darent have done it yesterday．but I think I dare now．昨天我沒敢這樣做，但現(xiàn)在我想我敢。
