雅思大作文中如何舉例子

　　一、外顯連接

　　所謂外顯連接是指用特定的連接詞將相關信息進行連接。通常情況下，例子作為論據由for example, for instance, like, such as, take as 等引出。

　　如：it is undeniable that mobile phones have facilitated our lives in many different ways. For example, when an emergency occurs, such as a traffic accident or a violent crime, mobile phones can help the victims to call the police or an ambulance immediately for help.

　　本例中，for example 引出例子論證mobile phones have facilitated our lives in many different ways. 而后面的 such as 則引出emergency 的具體形式。For instance 與它的用法完全相同，即后面要接句子例證。 Like, such as, takeas 等直接名詞（或相當于名詞的詞）。由于這些都是基本常識，這里不再贅述。

　　為了使連接詞多樣化，建議考生運用下面的一些短語（或句式）連接論點和論據：

　　下面我們來看一下哪些例證可以省去連接詞，實現內化連接。

　　1、人物經歷作例子

　　其中的人物可以是名人，Thomas Edison gave us an example that success only comes after persistence and hard work. 也可以是作者自己的親身經歷 I remember that ten years ago cell phones were unusual and seldom seen. 人物經歷作例子因為其較強的故事性而引人關注。但是切記，如果運用名人做例證，要注意信息的準確性； 如果運用自己的親身經歷做例子則要注意例子選擇是否典型、有說服力。但是無論怎樣，有人物經歷時，一定會給人以非常明確的細節信息的感覺，所以完全可以省去連接詞。

　　2、數字信息作例子：

　　引入帶有數字信息的例證，除可以更具體、更詳實的說明觀點外，也可以內化連接詞，因為數字信息所要傳遞的一定是一個量化的概念，而這一概念就是它所要論證的中心。看個例子：

　　The work was immense: filling about eighty large notebooks , Johnson wrote the definitions of over 40,000 words, and illustrated their many meanings with some 114,000 quotations drawn from English writing on every subject, from the Elizabethans to his own time.

　　例子中immense是觀點中心詞，后面的具體數字都是對這一中心詞的佐證。（當然我們不要忘記這里：也是在幫助這段文字內化連接，相當于 for example）

　　人名、地名屬于細節信息的范疇，也經常出現在例證中，以一種fact的形式出現。如：

　　Air pollution is increasingly becoming the focus of government and citizen concern around the globe. From Mexico City and New York to Singapore and Tokyo, new solutions to this old problem are being proposed and implemented with ever increasing speed.當你看到這些地名時，一定會想到它們是某一類具有相同性質的地域的代表，那么自然也就是點信息，而非面信息，從而可以省去連接詞的使用，卻依然保持主次分明。
