The Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the traditional Chinese festivals, falls on the 15th of the eighth month of our Chinese lunar calendar and it has been enjoying great popularity in our country. Usually,
no matter how far away or how busy we are, we will try to come home for the celebration with three days of legal holiday.
The moon that night looks the brightest
in the whole lunar month so what we love most is the time when we enjoy the full moon with our family. With the beautiful moon up in the sky, we often sit together
and eat moon cakes and fruits, sharing
our stories. In addition to these traditional activities, we have a wide range of choices such as travelling and visiting our relatives or friends.

Double Ninth Festival, also called Height Climbing Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival, which falls on the ninth day of lunar September. Dating from the Warring States Period, it has a history of more than 2000 years and was officially celebrated as a folk festival in the Tang Dynasty.
Traditionally, people celebrate the day by climbing mountains and going on an outing to relax. In a law passed in December 2024, the day was set as the Old People Festival, when the young are required to pay a visit
to their elderly/aging parents and keep them company. Currently, the festival is meant to show respect for old people and pass on the good virtue.
