The instant noodles were popular from the start, and then sales really took off in 1971 after the company decided to sell them in a cup. Along with instant coffee, ramen marked the beginning of the age of the instant food.

humble是形容詞，意思是（東西）粗糙的,簡陋的，比如：The family lived in a humble cottage.這戶人家住在一所簡陋的農舍里。同時，它還可以表示謙遜的，Many famous people are surprisingly humble.許多知名人士都出奇地謙恭。
Stall指貨攤，There are traders stalls on both sides of the street.（這條街的兩邊都有生意人的貨攤。）1958年，第一包方便面就誕生在這里。（It was created in 1958 at a humble food stall in Japan.）
剛開始方便面就大受歡迎，（The instant noodles were popular from the start）當公司在1971決定將方便面和一個紙杯一同出售時，（in 1971 after the company decided to sell them in a cup）銷售額一路彪升。（then sales really took off）

Along with是與在一起;在以外的意思，泡面（ramen）和即溶咖啡（instant coffee）一起，mark速食時代的開端。Mark做名詞時表示標志、記號，動詞的意思就是做記號于，記下，錄下。如：The box of eggs was marked With Care.（這個雞蛋盒標上了小心字樣。）說泡面和即溶咖啡一起做了速食時代開端的標志，實際就是說：他們的產生標志著速食時代的來臨。
Age除了可以表示人的年齡，還可以表示歷史上一段時間，也就是時代?，F代社會又被稱作信息時代，就是the age of information，還可以叫做技術時代，就是the age of technology，這個時代來臨的標志是什么呢？也許是因特網的出現吧：The appearance of Internet marked the beginning of the age of information.
速食時代的來臨，究竟是好事還是壞事呢？也許兩者皆有吧！所以，不論是好事壞，（For better or worse）有一點他辦到了，（he succeeded）只需三分鐘，晚飯就搞定。（dinner can be only three minutes away）
