Afterwinningabiggame,athletesareoftenaskedhowtheyattainedthatsuccess.Mostsaytheirachievementistheresultofgruellinghardworkandintensepractice.Usuallyathletessayhowharditistowinthebiggames.Attheoppositeendofthespectrum,however,isthefactthatlosingthebiggame,or,inmycase,allthegames,canbeeventougher.
Fromthespectators’pointofview,lastyear’sbasketballseasonformyhighschoolteamwasnothingshortofanembarrassment.Andwhile0and20iscertainlynothingtobeproudof,thatseasonhadabiggerimpactonmethananyother,andprobablymorethananyseasonsince.
